Lontra’s Board and Management team have over 50 years’ experience in the compressor industry, with backgrounds across engineering, manufacturing, automotive and digital services, working at senior and director levels at some of the biggest global brands in these sectors.

Their expertise has been brought together with a collective belief of changing the world for better, which is the basis for the creation of our novel, energy saving Blade Compressor® technology.

Lontra founder and inventor of the Blade Compressor® technology. With a degree in Chemistry from Bristol University, Steve has a strong commercial and financial background, consulting to some of the world’s largest blue chip companies.

This has given Steve many of the skills necessary to assemble a highly experienced team and secure the backing of key investors, industry bodies and leading international corporations that bring his original vision to the market.

He was named as one of the Maserati 100, Top 50 Most Ambitious Leaders by the LDC & The Telegraph and is internationally recognised as a finalist in the European Inventor Awards.



Following a degree in Mechanical Engineering at Imperial College, Clive became Principal Engineer with first tier automotive supplier Airtex Products.

He then joined Cosworth Technology for ten years, working on a broad range of projects.

This included working in multi-disciplinary teams, with extensive use and understanding of engineering methods and their applications.


Financial Director

Catherine has significant experience in private equity backed organisations and SME’s. She has a positive record of establishing finance functions from scratch in a short space of time, giving stakeholders visibility and forming strong relationships with Investors, Directors, Operations and Finance.

She has completed successful acquisitions and divestments on both the buy and sell side.

Her qualifications include ICAEW ACA, LLB Hons (Law), Prince 2 and with an early career at Arthur Andersen and then PwC.

Her substantial financial experience won her the title of Northern Finance Director of the year in 2018.

As such, Euan has an impressive 34 years of experience in the compressor industry.

Before joining Lontra Stuart was a senior manager at GKN driveline where in his first year he delivered over £3.5 million in savings through increased productivity both internally where the weekend shift was no longer needed, and externally where supplier performance increased by 17%.

He was CTO of the High Value Manufacturing Catapult program by the UK Government and is also a Fellow of the Institution of Engineering & Technology (IET).

He has a BA in Business and worked for the world’s largest compressor companies, namely: Ingersoll Rand (1975-1979) and Atlas Copco (1979-1987).

Rick has been a technical consultant to the CAGI (the Compressed Air and Gas Institute). Recently consulting on the upcoming Department of Energy (DoE) legislation on compressor efficiency which is especially relevant for industries at present.



Colin has an engineering background with numerous patents & technical publications to his name.

Most noteworthy as President of the British Compressed Air Society from 1988-90. He was also Group Chief Executive of Domnick Hunter. In addition, Colin was approached by University of Bath to commercialise novel nano-porous Absorption Media Tube (AMT) technology. Furthermore, he arranged a strategic sale of the business to IMI plc, a FTSE-250 company in 2013.
