A new British environmental technology company has today been launched in London. Lontra Ltd aims to develop and commercialise early stage technologies with a positive environmental impact. The company is the brain-child of technology developer Steve Lindsey and business consultant Simon Hombersley.

Steve Lindsey brings with him to the company the principal technology, a fuel efficient engine developed with academic partners.

Simon Hombersley, Lontra’s Business Development Director said: “The Lindsey Engine ™ is at an exciting moment in its development. Now patented, after years of theoretical development, the technology is ready for a new range of resources and skills to move from technical accomplishment to commercial success.”

Steve Lindsey, Lontra’s Technical Director, said: “It’s a good time to broaden the team involved in the Lindsey Engine™ project, and to bring additional skills to a range of other technology projects I’ve been developing with partners.”

The company strategy is to remain small and dynamic, developing projects through partnership and licensing Intellectual Property. The company has recruited corporate finance expert Sir David Chapman and environmental technology entrepreneur Dr Peter Mucci to its advisory board to provide strategic guidance.

Simon Hombersley: “With Steve’s expertise in managing technology projects, strengthened by our specialist partners and our advisory board members, we’re in a strong position to build a sustainable and successful company.”
