Lontra was established in 2004 and is based in the UK’s Midlands. The company’s objective is to create sustainable long term revenues from the development and exploitation of its IP portfolio.

The team is committed to using innovation to address environmental issues.

The company is small and dynamic, and works with world–class technical and commercial partners, including Ricardo, Mahle Powertrain, Cranfield University and Imperial Innovations. Our product is Intellectual Property, and our business model based on licensing and joint–venture.

The private company has a strong board, led by Peter Watson, and investors include Citigroup Capital Ventures, Imperial Innovations and Midven, plus a group of experienced angel investors including the board members.

Lontra has benefited from the grant support of the Carbon Trust, the Technology Strategy Board, the DTI/London Development Agency, and the Carbon Trust Incubator Scheme.
